York has a thriving coaching community representing a wide range of coaching disciplines and practice. Coaching York supports the following three professional development groups.
York Coaching Group
York Coaching Group runs Continuous Professional Development (CPD) evening events at York St. Johns University. These events are open to coaches, or people training to be coaches and provide a forum for CPD, discussion and exploration of coaching related topics. Events are bi-monthly and are free to attend. Events start at 6.30pm with a chance to network and meet others, and the session starts at 7.00pm until 8.45pm. The diary for this year is attached in the Word document below.

Deepening Coaching Skills using core coaching competencies
This bi-monthly professional development forum is for coaches and those in coach training. It is an experiential session where
- – the group examines one of the core coaching competencies
- – syndicates of coach, client and observer have a live coaching sessions allowing the coach to practice the competency
- – the coach receives structured feedback on the experience
- – the syndicates share their learning in the whole group
The purpose is to deepen our knowledge of coaching competencies
All coaches are welcome including those in training. We value the insights contributed by coaches with different backgrounds and practices.
Bernadette Cass PCC leads these sessions on behalf of the UK International Coach Federation, and ICF professional development hours (CCEUs) are usually available to participants.
How to book
An Eventbrite invitation is sent a few weeks prior to each event. If you’d like to be added to the mailing list or have any other enquiry then contact Bernadette directly at Bernadette.Cass@HeworthAssociates.co.uk or on info@CoachingYork.co.uk
We meet at York Associates, Peasholme House, Saint Saviour’s Place, York, North Yorkshire YO1 7PJ at 6pm for a 6.15 start.
We are a lively group committed to developing our coaching impact – do come and join us!
We are a group of coaches who act as a coach for one colleague and as a client for another during each ‘round’ of the circle (which usually lasts for 6 sessions). This provides a safe space where we develop our coaching abilities, build coaching relationships based on trust and rapport & develop our skills and learning.
